She’s Made Free is about the journey on the path of our God-given right, our freedom. It’s not just about small factors that make up your life, but what makes you you, what makes you tick, and what makes you prosperous. She’s Made Free began as a small thought experiment that focused on healing, knowledge of God, growth as a person, and a security within yourself. This then birthed into a, slightly, more developed thought experiment in which the goal is not only to talk about those “four corners” of life, but rather provide a much broader perspective. She’s Made Free is still in it’s early stages of development as there is more growth to come but our objective is to create a safe space for both women and men to talk about just about anything regarding life as it is.

My Main Points of Focus


SPIRITUALITY

We will be talking not only about the Christian God, Jesus Christ, but we also will be diving deeper into different aspects of spirituality not spoken of much by other Christians to shed more light on what is the “truth” behind the universe.

FINANCIAL LITERACY

Speaking of freedom, as someone in their early 20s, I am now experiencing what it means to be financially literate. Having a good understanding of your money, where it should go and how to organize it, is essentially priceless. While the love of money IS the root of all evil, money in and of itself can be used a tool to progress and stability.

MINDSET

Freedom is not only in action but it is in thought pattern as well. As is says in the word of God, as a man thinks, he is. Therefore, to encourage you, we will be taking a look into what it means to have a good mindset, the different types of beneficial mindsets, as well as how to embark on achieving this type of thinking.

HEALING

What does it mean to heal and how can we go about that healing? We will explore the concepts of healing through the lens of a current psychology student. Topics such as CBT, DBT, Meditation, the importance of spirituality, journaling and breathwork will be talked about and it’s potential viability/helpfulness in different aspects of mental illnesses.

TRAUMA

Trauma is never something that should be overlooked or thrown to the wayside. It’s occurrences happen more often then not in our world and by taking steps of prevention as well as healing, we can feel more secure in our trauma experiences as well as struggles. Come with me as I speak on trauma, the effects, ways of prevention, and overall impacts that trauma can have over their victims.

BEAUTY

Lastly, we will be taking a look at what beauty means and why it’s important (or not so much) to be beautiful. We will also be taking a look into what makes a person beautiful in the eyes of God vs. the eyes of the world. It will be a deconstruction of what we’ve been taught but also an alleviation of pressure to be perfect.

You can’t run no more and neither can we. Healing is an active step toward growth. Being passive on healing will have your healing pass you by. Be active. And the thing is, once you become more active. It can work. It does work. The prayers work, the meditation works, the therapy works, the healing WORKS.

My prayers are working, fasting is working, journaling is working, medication is working, therapy is working, healing is working.

As we continue on throughout our series, we will delve deeper into all 6 main categories: spirituality, financial literacy, mindset, healing, trauma, and beauty through not only a biblical perspective but to deconstruct each one (including the topic of Christianity itself).

Our goal is NOT to paint Christianity, or any topic of our conversation, in a bad light but rather to SHED light onto those creaky corners that no one seems to talk about and no one seems to address. Topics that have stayed hidden for a very long time in the shadows.

We’ll, also, be speaking about things that have been addressed before, such as CBT, DBT, journaling, and etc, and speak on why exactly these healing techniques are important.

Test Every Door You Walk Through

Right now, what have you shut the door on?

What have you let go and what has constrained you?

I find that in life, we have many doors available to us, however, it is up to us to either go through those doors or to let them shut behind us. While not every door is necessary to go through, and many may not even not even be for you, it is always important to analyze that door and weigh it, before entering.

What does this mean? Test the spirit behind the spirit (or in other words, test the viability and credibility of your sources). I am just me. Sometimes, you will “vibe” or “jive” with what I am saying and other times you may not be. My job is to be as transparent as possible while growing my own knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of it all. Sometimes, I will fumble and make blunders, please do not hesitate to be as honest as you see fit about this fumbling and blunders within this podcast. I am open to always growing and learning and would like for you to be a part of this journey with me.

How Can We Change For The Better?

We are not people that are interested in seeing someone go through the “hard-knocks” of life without being able to understand them. To understand the implications of said “hard-knocks” and to also understand how to change their own narrative, seek wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, and to also do so with a very light-hearted and “free” manner.

Freedom is not just in doing what you want and when you want it, as when you hit above the age of 21 in America, that ship has, most likely, already sailed. But that is not it when it comes to freedom. Freedom in thought, freedom past the shackles of our past, freedom from our bad habits, and freedom to just…understand life as best as we can (even though a lot of the universe is vastly beyond even our own understanding).

Start Small In Your Journey Of Healing


Healing doesn’t need to be this gargantuan thing that you must work on immediately, succinctly, and perfectly. Taking on years of trauma in just a day to a week. It doesn’t need to be that way, and matter of fact, it shouldn’t. Rome was not built in a day and neither will you be magically healed in just a couple of journaling prompts, therapy sessions, and/or meditation rounds. It is called a “journey” for a reason as there will be ups and downs, mole hills and molasses, and so on and so forth. In our podcast, we will work hard to help you on this journey as we OURSELVES have continued on this journey for about 7 years now.

What Makes Healing Worth It?

When you can be the catalyst of change in your generation or the generation coming after you. It can be as small as helping a family member through something that they themselves have gone through or it could be you helping the next generation after you to understand themselves and the world better. Lastly, it is to help YOU make a better future for yourself.
